After you sign up for Manufacturer Center, there are several checks that need to happen before you can manage your brand on Manufacturer Center. You can track the status and take any action needed to complete the sign-up process by logging in to your account.
How verification works
You linked a Merchant Center account to Manufacturer Center
- For account verification:
- We send an approval email request to the business email address you registered upon sign up for Manufacturer Center (email address of the business). This verification link expires after a week. You can resend it or change the recipient address by logging in to your account.
- We review the account information that you provided: business name, business URL, business email. It may take up to 2 days to verify your account.
- If the email request is approved by the email owner and we've verified your provided information, your account is verified.
- For brand verification:
- We review your brand information. It may take up to 2 days to verify your brands.
- We send a linking request email to the Merchant Center account ID that you provided. If the request is approved, the Merchant Center account is linked to your Manufacturer Center account.
- Product data for your verified brand in your Merchant Center account syncs with your Manufacturer Center account. It may take up to 2 days to sync the product data. Learn more about syncing product data
You didn’t link a Merchant Center account to Manufacturer Center
- For account verification:
- We send an approval email request to the business email address you registered upon sign up for Manufacturer Center (email address of the business). This verification link expires after a week. You can resend it or change the recipient address by logging in to your account.
- We review the account information that you provided: business name, business URL, business email. It may take up to 2 days to verify your account.
- If the email request is approved by the email owner and we verified your provided information, your account is verified.
- For brand verification:
- We review your brand information. It may take up to 2 days to verify your brands.
- After your brand is approved, Manufacturer Center tries to identify the top performing products belonging to the brand. If this process is successful, you’ll be prompted (in an email and in your Manufacturer Center account) to unlock insights for your top performing products. Unlocking insights automatically adds product data to your account, and you’ll be able to access analytics for these products. You can always edit or remove products that were automatically added to your account.
Common verification issues
Your account hasn’t been verified from the business email address
If the request hasn’t been approved yet, you can send a reminder from Manufacturer Center to the business email address. If the business email address needs to be changed, select “Change approval email”.
Your account was disapproved during account review
If we couldn’t establish a relationship between your business and the information provided, or we can’t determine whether you own the brands or you’re a manufacturer, your account will be disapproved.
Your brand is disapproved
If we can’t verify the relationship between the brand and the manufacturer, we may reject your brand. Data quality issues like extraneous information in the brand name (for example, “Google ltd”), spelling or grammar errors, or an incorrect website URL may lead to your brand being disapproved.
To fix this, select “Add a different brand” and update any incorrect or inaccurate information about the brand. Learn more about brand rejections
Your Merchant Center account couldn’t be linked with Manufacturer Center
If you provided a Merchant Center ID when you signed up, but the linking request hasn’t been approved, select the option to send a reminder to the Merchant Center account in Manufacturer Center. If you have access, you can approve the linking request in Merchant Center directly.
To update the Merchant Center ID, select “Link a different account”. A new request will be sent to the updated Merchant Center account for approval.
Your product data from Merchant Center couldn’t be synced
We only synchronize products for brands that have been verified in Manufacturer Center. Some products may not be synchronized if we don’t have a clear signal that they belong to a particular brand. You can check the product data in Merchant Center to confirm if it’s correct, or contact support if you think that a product is clearly marked as belonging to a verified brand and was still not synchronized.
You may also add products manually in Manufacturer Center using a feed (available to all accounts) or using the Google catalog (only available for eligible accounts and brands).
