Rejection reasons

Manufacturer Center accounts that don’t meet the policy requirements get rejected. Below are the common rejection reasons:

  • You aren't the manufacturer or brand owner (or the manufacturer or brand owner doesn't allow you to manage their brand on Manufacturer Center). For example, if you're a distributor or a retailer that sells products from the brand but doesn't own the brand, your account would be rejected.
  • Your products are sold in a country that isn't supported by Google Shopping.
  • The website URL that you provided couldn't be found or may have been entered incorrectly.
  • The primary contact provided to Manufacturer Center can’t be verified as belonging to the business. Marketing, SEO, or data partners can't be a primary contact for Manufacturer Center.
  • Your company already has a Manufacturer Center account.

Fixing account rejections

You can fix an account rejection by checking that you meet our requirements:

  • Confirm that your account follows the Manufacturer Center policy requirements.
  • Make sure that you're the owner of the brand. If you're a retailer who sells products from a brand, but not the owner of the brand, and would like to list items for sale in Shopping ads and free listings on Google, sign up for Merchant Center. Note that separate policy requirements apply to use Merchant Center.
  • Make sure your products are sold in countries supported by Google Shopping.
  • Check the URL of the website that you provided when you set up your account.
  • Make sure the primary contact has a matching domain name to the business in Manufacturer Center.
  • Make sure you don't have an existing Manufacturer Center account.
