Save messages and change your calling account if your administrator has disabled Meet

Important: If an Administrator disables Meet for their domain, users who registered on Duo or on the new Meet app with a Business or Education account will lose access to their messages starting on January 4, 2023.

Tip: If auto-updates is on and your administrator disables Meet, you get a warning in your app that you must save your messages before January 4, 2023.

Save your messages

  1. On your mobile device, open the Meet app  or Duo Duo app.
  2. Tap Contact and then More options and then View full history.
  3. Select the message you want to save.
  4. Play the message.
  5. Select an option:
    • Tap on the message to pause to show a Download icon .
    • Let the message fully play to show a Download icon .
  6. To save messages to your device, tap on the Download icon .

Reassign your phone number from your Education or Business account to your personal account

  1. To make calls after January 4, 2023, tap Open navigation menu and then Settings and then Calling settings and then Calling Account and then Delete calling account.
  2. When this message pops up, “Once you do this, you won’t be able to make or receive calls on Meet,” tap Delete.
  3. To get to the main screen, tap the Back arrow .
  4. On the top right, tap your avatar.
  5. Select your personal email account or Add another account.
  6. Tap Menu and then Settings and then Add calling account.
  7. Enter your phone number.
