Learn how Moderated Pinning works

A Moderated Pin is any tile or presentation that a host pins for others in the meeting.

  • Only hosts and co-hosts can pin for everyone within the meeting.
  • Hosts and co-hosts can pin up to 3 tiles for other participants.
  • If a pinned participant leaves and rejoins the meeting, the hosts have to pin them again.
  • Hosts and co-hosts can only pin for others if they join the meeting via a desktop or laptop.
    • For participants who join a meeting via a desktop, laptop, or a Google Meet meeting room, Moderated Pins will appear.
    • For participants who join a meeting via the Google Meet app on an Android device or iPhone or iPad, Moderated Pins won't appear.
  • Hosts and co-hosts can’t pin for everyone when they use Companion mode or Live stream.
  • Hosts and co-hosts can’t pin Add Ons for others.
  • If a meeting guest already has up to 6 things pinned for themself, then anything pinned by the hosts will replace the tile most recently pinned by the meeting guest.
  • After the hosts pin a tile or presentation, participants can manually unpin it.
