Why this issue is happening
This issue occurs when the value you entered for the shipping weight [shipping_weight]
attribute is too high.
The shipping weight [shipping_weight]
attribute lets you include the weight to use when calculating shipping costs through your Merchant Center settings. For each attribute that is included in your product data, you must submit a valid and accurate value.
The shipping weight [shipping_weight]
attribute is optional for each product.
How to fix your issue
To resolve this issue, review the accepted values for the shipping weight [shipping weight]
attribute and ensure that the values in your product data fall within the accepted range. The shipping weight value must be within 2000 lbs or 1000 kg.
Keep in mind:
The value for shipping weight should be a number plus a unit.
Supported unit values are lb, oz, g,
and kg
Limits for imperial units are 0–2000 lb
Limits for metric units are 0–1000 kg
Decimal values (such as 20.25
) are not accepted
Fix products one by one directly in Merchant Center
Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
Click on the title of the product you want to fix, then click Edit product.
Review the shipping weight [shipping_weight]
attribute and make sure that the value entered is within 2000 lbs or 1000 kg.
Select Save.
Fix multiple products at once
Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
Select the download icon to download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.
Cross reference the downloaded list with your uploaded product data, and make sure that the shipping weight [shipping_weight]
value entered is within 2000 lbs or 1000 kg.
Reupload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.

After making the requested changes, check that you’ve fixed the issue by making sure it’s no longer listed on the “Needs attention” page.
