About in-store product and price availability hosted on Google

In-store product and price availability hosted on Google allows you to show local inventory ads and free local listings without needing a website or needing to display in store availability and price on your website.

Overview

For merchants that don’t show the in-store availability of products on their website, local inventory ads and free local listings are available via in-store product and price availability hosted on Google. Google will generate a view of your product with in-store information such as price and availability as well as store information. The experience can differ per country and program:

  • For local inventory ads in all countries and free local listings in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, Ukraine, the US, UAE and Vietnam, your products will be represented as:

  • For free local listings in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden your products will be represented as:

Requirements

To be eligible for in-store product and price availability hosted on Google, you must complete the inventory verification process, which ensures the price and availability values provided in your Merchant Center account match what’s in-store.

The local inventory ads pick-up experiences aren’t compatible with in-store product and price availability hosted on Google. To implement pickup today or pickup later, your website must show in-store availability and pickup SLAs.


Inventory data source requirements

To implement in-store product and price availability hosted on Google, you'll need to add the following attributes to your primary data source in addition to the local product data attributes.

Opt into in-store product and price availability hosted on Google

If you have already started the process to onboard into local inventory ads or free local listings, follow the steps below to enable the product pages with in-store product and price availability hosted on Google:

Step 1 In your Merchant Center account, click the Settings & tools icon Tools and setting menu icon [Gear], then select Add-ons.

Step 2 Select Active.

Step 3 In the “Local inventory ads” card, click Show me.

Step 4 Click Show me next to the country for which you want to set it up.

Step 5 Select “Your product page experience”.

Step 5 Select “My product pages don't show what's in stock at my store”.

Step 5 Follow the steps to request an inventory verification.
