How to fix: Missing shipping sub-attribute

Add the missing sub-attributes to the shipping attribute in your product data. Then resubmit your feed.

Why this issue is happening

One or more of your products is missing one of the sub-attributes of the shipping attribute which are required to show estimated delivery dates. For example, you may have submitted a valid value for the maximum transit time of a product, but you did not provide the shipping price sub-attribute. Or you may have provided a value for the maximum handling time, but you did not provide a value for the maximum transit time.

In order to show an estimated delivery date in your ads or free listings you must include all of the following sub-attributes:

As a result of this error, your shipping sub-attribute(s) (transit time and/or handling time) have been invalidated and are not currently included for affected products.

Note that the shipping price sub-attribute can still be used even if handling or transit time are missing. Learn more about Shipping attribute

How to fix your issue

To fix this issue, ensure that all required attributes and sub-attributes have been added for the affected products, then resubmit your product data.

Fix products one by one directly in Merchant Center

Step 1 Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.

Step 2 Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.

Step 3 Click on the title of the issue you want to fix, then click Edit product.

Step 4 Add valid values for any required shipping sub-attributes for this product.

Step 5 Click Save.

Fix multiple products at once

Step 1 Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.

Step 2 Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.

Step 3 Select the download icon to download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.

Step 4 Cross reference the downloaded list with your uploaded product data, and make sure to add valid values for any required shipping sub-attributes for all of your products.

Step 5 Reupload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.


Next steps

After making the requested changes, check that you’ve fixed the issue by making sure it’s no longer listed on the “Needs attention” page.
