The delivery time and delivery costs that you offer on your website are an important piece of information for customers evaluating a possible purchase. You'll need to share with Google information about how much you charge for delivery and how long it'll take for customers to receive their orders. This is in part because some countries and local regulations require Google to show this information to customers. In other scenarios, when your products don't have delivery information, this can result in ranking demotions. Your delivery information is used across Google features, including Shopping ads and free product listings.
Delivery time and delivery cost are two of the most common reasons why customers abandon their shopping purchases, so you'll want to make sure that your delivery information is accurate and up to date.
Does Google dispatch products to customers?
No, Google will only display your products and delivery information, then send customers to your website, where you fulfil orders if they decide to buy.
Why do I need to provide delivery information?
Some countries and local regulations require Google to show delivery information to customers. In other scenarios, when your products don't have delivery information, this can result in ranking demotions.
After I've provided delivery information, will it be associated with all of my products?
If you only have one delivery option, it'll be associated with all the products targeting the same countries.
If a subset of your products have different delivery speeds or costs, such as heavy products and products with special promotions, specify them using the delivery label [delivery_label]
attribute and create additional delivery options only for them.
A product can be associated with multiple delivery options, and delivery options can be associated with multiple delivery labels.
What if I offer multiple delivery options for the same country?
If you provide different delivery options for a product in the same country, we'll calculate the lowest delivery rate for the product for a given situation and display that rate and the associated delivery times to customers based on where Google thinks that the customer is shopping. If the delivery cost is the same, we'll use the delivery option with the fastest delivery speed.
When is delivery information required?
If you want Google to show your products to customers in any of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States.
