With Google News, you can deliver high-quality content to readers on mobile devices and computers. To make your publication browsable, follow the Google News feed guidelines.
Important: When you use feeds to create content sections, if a valid AMP (accelerated mobile pages) article is available, your articles render in AMP. If AMP isn’t available, articles render as the canonical web page version.
Review feed guidelines
We can’t provide specific feedback on how to build your XML standard feed. However, you can get guidance from other publishers in our Google News Help forum. Your feeds must adhere to the Google News technical feed requirements.
Check that your feeds adhere to these guidelines:
- Content freshness: Feeds offer up-to-date content that matches the freshness of the content on your website. Only include recent content in your feeds.
- Duplicate articles: Our system uses the
<guid>
tag in the feed to identify new articles. If you update an article on your website and it generates a new<guid>
tag, we show both versions of the article. To avoid a duplicate:- Check that your feed doesn't generate a new ID for article updates.
- Learn how and when to use the isPermalink value.
- Content policies: Check that your content complies with our policies.
