You can now make transactions and pay with a pre-sanctioned credit line on Google Pay. A pre-sanctioned credit line is a flexible loan that the bank issues with a pre-approved, set amount of money that you can use when necessary.
If you have an eligible pre-sanctioned credit line from your bank, Google Pay will notify you to activate your credit line. Once the activation is successful, you can use it to make payments to select merchants on UPI.
Who can avail & activate credit lines
If the issuing bank determines that you’re eligible for a pre-sanctioned credit line, you’ll get a notification on the Google Pay app. To know if you’re eligible, check your Google Pay app.
Activate your credit line
- On your mobile device, open the Google Pay app .
- If you have an eligible pre-sanctioned credit line, you’ll be notified on your home screen.
- Tap Activate now.
- On the “Review fees and charges” page, learn about:
- Sanctioned credit limit
- Service charges
- Payment charges
- To continue with the activation, tap Next.
- Enter the 4 numeric digits of your PAN.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Tap Next.
- Enter the One-time Password (OTP) you received on your mobile number.
- Tap Submit.
