Users can receive foreign remittance in Google Pay through the UPI Foreign Inward Remittances feature.
How to activate Foreign Inward Remittances
- Open the Google Pay app .
- Tap Settings Payment methods.
- Tap the account you want to receive foreign inward remittances.
- Tap Payment method details Manage international payments.
- Toggle on Receive international payments.
- To provide consent to share masked name and bank account information with International Remittance Partners, tap Continue.
- Share your UPI ID with the person you want to receive remittance from.
- You'll get a notification once you receive money from the sender.
Tip: Check your transaction history to get more details about the received remittance.
How to deactivate Foreign Inward Remittances
- Open the Google Pay app .
- Tap Settings Payment methods.
- Tap the bank you want to deactivate foreign inward remittances.
- Tap Payment method details Manage international payments.
- To disable international remittance, toggle off Receive international payments.
- To stop receiving international payments, tap Yes.
- You’ll receive a confirmation message once international payments are deactivated.
