No. Currently, we can’t offer Pixel Pass subscriptions to new subscribers.
Yes, you can still upgrade your Pixel device after 24 months, you just won’t be able to renew your subscription to Pixel Pass. You can purchase or finance your next Pixel device directly from Google Store or Google Fi Wireless, and you have the option to trade-in your current Pixel device towards your next device. Current Pixel Pass subscribers received $100 towards their next Pixel purchase good for 2 years, which can also be used alongside available promotions.
If you are interested in subscribing to Google services individually, you can purchase Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium directly on their websites.
You can continue with your current Pixel Pass subscription for a period of 2 years from the date on which you subscribed to Pixel Pass. By the end of the 2 year term, you can’t upgrade to a new phone with Pixel Pass.
Your current Pixel Pass subscription is not affected. You may continue to use its services for 2 years from the date of the subscription.
At the end of your term, your Pixel phone is fully paid off. Your Preferred Care service contract through Google Store or your device protection coverage through Google Fi Wireless ends. The included Google subscriptions, such as Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium, automatically renew each month until canceled. You’ll receive a monthly bill for Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium at the current discounted rate, which is visible in the email sent to you on August 29, 2023 with the subject line, “An important update on Pixel Pass.” If you are using your Pixel Pass device on Google Fi Wireless, the $5 service discount to your Google Fi Wireless plan also ends.
When you reach the end of your 2 year term, you receive an email that contains information about your options to purchase a new device and cancel or continue with the included Google services.
Refunds are not issued because we are committed to fulfilling our promise for the full 2 year term on the Pixel Pass subscription. However, a $100 loyalty reward credit is issued to all active subscribers.
- Subscribers, who subscribed through Google Store receive $100 Google Store credit to their account which can be used towards any Google Store purchase.
- Subscribers, who subscribed through Google Fi Wireless receive a $100 coupon code which can be used towards a Pixel device purchase on Google Fi Wireless.

Current Pixel Pass subscribers get $100 with 2 year validity to their next Pixel purchase. This credit can also be used alongside any available promotions. If you do decide to get a new phone, it is considered a separate purchase from your existing Pixel Pass subscription. You are responsible for your monthly Pixel Pass subscription for the remainder of your 2 year term.
Current Pixel Pass users continue to receive support until their Pixel Pass term ends.
At the end of your 2 year term, these bundles automatically renew at a discount, unless you choose to cancel them. You lose access to these services when you cancel your subscription. If you prefer to subscribe to a subset of these services, you cancel the bundled subscription and subscribe to individual subscriptions directly. (Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium)
The current cancellation policy still applies. You can cancel Pixel Pass at any time.
- If your plans change within the first 15 days after your Pixel phone ships, you can cancel your subscription and send the phone back at no charge.
- If you cancel after that, your subscription ends after the current billing cycle, and you pay off the remainder of your phone cost at regular price.
For example, if you subscribe to Pixel Pass with Pixel 6, then cancel your subscription halfway through the 24-month term, you pay off the remaining half of your Pixel 6 cost at regular price (plus applicable taxes).
When you cancel your Pixel Pass subscription, you lose access to Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, and your Preferred Care service/ Google Fi Wireless device protection contract ends. If you are past the 2 year term, you can cancel the bundle of Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium anytime. Learn how to cancel your subscriptions.
When you cancel the bundled service after 2 years, you lose access to the benefits and features included in the services.
For Google One, you lose access to the benefits and features included in your Google One membership. You also lose the additional cloud storage space. If you cancel while using more than 15GB of storage, some services may be restricted. Learn more about how to cancel your Google One membership.
For Play Pass, you lose access to your Play Pass subscription. Any apps you installed from Play Pass and their data remain on your device.
For content you obtained via Play Pass:
- Paid apps prompt you to buy the app or subscribe to Play Pass.
- In-app purchases are removed, but are available for individual purchase.
- Ads reappear in apps where they were removed.
- All this content can be unlocked again if you rejoin Play Pass
For YouTube Premium, you lose access to your YouTube Premium subscription.
