Safety warnings
WARNING: HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION; READ BEFORE USE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DISCOMFORT, PROPERTY DAMAGE, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE AND OTHER POTENTIAL HAZARDS
To avoid damaging your device, accessories or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below before using your Stadia Controller.
Handling
Handle your Stadia Controller with care. Do not drop, throw, or slam it. You may damage your Stadia Controller or its
battery if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush, or puncture your Stadia Controller. Using a damaged Stadia
Controller may cause battery overheating or injury. Do not expose your Stadia Controller to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. If your Stadia Controller gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.
Your Stadia Controller should be used and charged in ambient temperatures between 32° and 95° F (0° and 35° C) and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 140° F (-20° and 60° C). Do not leave your Stadia Controller in places where the temperatures may exceed 140° F (60° C), such as in a car or near a heating vent, as this may damage your Stadia Controller, overheat its battery, or pose a potential risk of fire. Keep your Stadia Controller away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If your device becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it's plugged in, move it to a cooler place, and do not use it unit it has cooled. Your Stadia Controller is designed to work at an altitude of up to 6,560 dr (2,000 m).
Repair & service
Do not attempt to repair your Stadia Controller yourself. Disassembling the device may cause injury to you.
Unauthorized repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the device and may affect your warranty coverage and regulatory authorizations.

Charging
Be sure your Stadia Controller and its power adapter are well ventilated when in use or charging. Using a damaged cable or power adapter or charging when moisture is present can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to your Stadia Controller or other property. When charging the Stadia Controller, make sure the power adapter is plugged into a socket near the Stadia Controller and is easily accessible. Avoid charging the device in direct sunlight. This product is intended for use with a certified Limited Power Source (LPS) per IEC 60950-1 and/or classified PS1 per IEC 62368-1, output rated: 5 Volts DC, maximum 1.5 Amp.
Only charge your Stadia Controller with the included power adapter and cable or compatible charging accessories. Failure to use compatible charging accessories can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories.
When disconnecting the power adapter from a power outlet, pull on the adapter, never on the cable. Do not twist or pinch the USB cable, and do not force a connector into a port.
Prolonged heat exposure
The Stadia Controller and its charger generate heat during normal operation and comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. If the device gets abnormally hot or uncomfortable to touch, discontinue use, unplug it, and let it cool. Exposing skin to hot surfaces for a long period of time may cause discomfort or burns. Be aware of this issue if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against your skin.
Do not sleep on your device or its power adapter, or cover them with a blanket or pillow.
Your device may generate additional heat when charging or using certain features, such as when powering external devices like wired headsets. Use extra care when operating the device in these modes.
Hearing loss
Prolonged exposure to loud sounds (including music) can cause hearing loss. To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid listening at high volume for prolonged periods of time. Continued exposure to high volumes and background noise can make loud sounds seem quieter than they actually are. Check the volume before using headphones or earphones.
Battery
This Stadia Controller contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which is a sensitive component that can cause injury if damaged. Do not attempt to remove the battery. Contact Google or a Google authorized service provider to have the battery replaced. Replacement by unqualified professionals can damage your device. Improper replacement or use of an unqualified battery may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard. Do not modify or remanufacture/refurbish the battery, puncture or attempt to insert objects into the battery, immerse or expose the battery to water or other liquids, or expose the battery to fire, excessive heat, and/or other hazards. Do not short circuit the battery or allow metallic or conductive objects to contact the battery terminals. Avoid dropping the Stadia Controller or battery. If the Stadia Controller or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and you suspect or observe damage, contact Google or a Google authorized service provider for inspection. If the battery leaks, do not allow the leaking fluid to come into contact with eyes, skin or clothing. If the fluid is already in contact with the eyes, do not rub them. Rinse the eyes with clean water immediately and seek medical advice.
Dispose of your Stadia Controller, battery, and accessories in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of them in normal household waste. Improper disposal may lead to fire, explosion, and/or other hazards. Do not open, crush, heat above 60 ̊C (140 ̊F), or incinerate. Environmental restrictions
To prevent damage to the Stadia Controller’s parts or internal circuits, do not use or store the device or its accessories in dusty, smoky, damp, or dirty environments, or near magnetic fields. Keep it away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave your Stadia Controller inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 140° F (60° C), such as on a car dashboard, window sill, near a heating vent, or behind glass that is exposed to direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time. This may damage the Stadia Controller, overheat the battery, or pose a risk of fire or explosion.
Explosive atmospheres
Do not charge, use, store, or transport your Stadia Controller where flammables or explosives are stored (in gas stations, fuel depots, or chemical plants, for example). Do not use your Stadia Controller where blasting operations are in progress, or in potentially explosive atmospheres such as in areas where the air contains high levels of flammable chemicals, vapors, or particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders). Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death. Observe all notices and signs where these hazards might exist.
Radio frequency interference
Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology (e.g. Bluetooth or WiFi). Your Stadia Controller is designed to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions, but use of wireless devices can negatively affect other electronic equipment. For example, while flying in an aircraft or immediately before boarding, use your Stadia Controller only according to instructions provided by the airline. Use of a wireless device in an aircraft may disrupt wireless networks, present a hazard to aircraft operation, or be illegal.
Medical device interference
Your Stadia Controller uses radios and other components that emit electromagnetic fields, and also contains magnets inside the product. Headsets and headphones used with the device may also contain magnets. These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. Always keep the device and its charger at a safe distance away from the pacemaker or other implanted medical device. If you have questions about using your Stadia Controller with or near your pacemaker or other implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before using it. If you suspect your Stadia Controller is interfering with your pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, turn off your Stadia Controller and consult your physician for information specific to your medical device.
Hospitals
Switch off your Stadia Controller when requested to do so in hospitals, clinics or health care
facilities. These requests are designed to prevent possible wireless interference with sensitive medical equipment.
Child safety
This device is not a toy. Your Stadia Controller may contain (or may come with) small parts or plastic elements that may create a choking hazard. The charging cable may be a strangulation hazard for small children. Keep any charging cords and cables out of the reach of small children (more than 3 feet / 1 meter away) and do not allow them to play with it. They could hurt themselves or others, or could accidentally damage the Stadia Controller. Consult a physician immediately if small parts are swallowed.
Safe environment
Always be aware of your surroundings when using your Stadia Controller. Take care to ensure that you are not near other people, pets, objects, or other items that you can bump into, trip over, or knock down when using your Stadia Controller.
Repetitive stress injury
Repetitive movements using the device can lead to occasional discomfort in your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body. If you experience any discomfort, put the device down and take a break. If you’re still experiencing discomfort after your break, consider calling a doctor.
Vibration function
The device has motors that may cause it to vibrate during gameplay or other use. For example, the device will vibrate briefly when turned on and off, and certain games may cause the device to vibrate. Extensive vibration may aggravate an injury to bones, joints, or muscles of your hands or arms. If you have such an injury, you should disable vibration during gameplay or avoid games that make extensive use of the vibration function.
Seizures
A small percentage of people may experience seizures or blackouts that are triggered by visual stimuli, such as light flashes or patterns. Those seizures most often occur in children or younger people, and can be experienced by people who have never had seizures or blackouts before. Stop using Stadia or your Stadia Controller immediately if you suffer from blackouts or seizures and contact a doctor. If you have a history of seizures, blackouts, or epilepsy, consult with a doctor before using Stadia or your Stadia Controller.
Proper Handling and Usage
Follow these guidelines when using, storing, cleaning, or disposing of your Stadia Controller:
Care & cleaning
Unplug your Stadia Controller and adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean the device and accessories.
Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean the Stadia Controller or accessories. Do not clean your device while it is charging.
Water resistance
You Stadia Controller, power adapter, and other accessories are not water resistant. Do not allow your device to come into contact with liquids. If your device is submerged in liquids, do not turn it on as it may cause electrical shorts and overheating. If it gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.
Magnetic fields
Avoid placing any media containing magnets or sensitive to magnetism, such as credit cards, bank cards, audio/video, tapes, or magnetic memory devices, near your Stadia Controller or its charging cable, because you may lose information stored on those media. Media containing information sensitive to magnets should be kept at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from the Stadia Controller.
Connectors and ports
Ensure that the USB-C connector of your Stadia Controller is kept clean. Dirt in this connector may obstruct electrical current flow or cause overheating. You may clean the connector by first removing any dirt with a clean, soft, and dry cloth. You may then blow compressed air from a can to further clean the connector. Hold the can upright to prevent liquid air from getting into the connector and at an angle to prevent dust and particles from getting further embedded in the connector.
Do not insert any objects in the microphone opening at the back of the Stadia Controller. Doing so can damage your microphone.

FCC Regulatory Compliance
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
