Explanation
An iframe is an in-line frame using an HTML structure that lets you insert an HTML document into another HTML document and display it as a webpage. It's represented as an <iframe> tag.
Iframe issues usually arise when one or more of the following have occurred:
- The site implemented the iframe ad tag in a placement without implementing the iframe solution.
- The site implemented the JavaScript ad tag in a placement that's surrounded by an Iframe without implementing the iframe solution.
- The site served an iframe tag into a placement surrounded by an iframe, creating nested iframes that the iframe solution can't fix.
Symptoms
The creative looks cut off, the backup image shows instead of rich media, or tandem ads don't work correctly.
How can I avoid this?
We highly recommend that you use a JavaScript ad tag. For Google Ad Manager clients, use an In-Red tag instead of an iframe/JavaScript ad tag, which creates an iframe around the creative. To ensure that rich media creatives work properly when placed inside an iframe, use the Studio iframe solution.
