GA bounces column displays the number of visits that are recorded as sessions, but does not lead to additional clicks or other customer interaction.
For example, if a user visits your website and briefly reviews content on your homepage, but leaves without clicking on any links or triggering any events that are recorded as interaction events, then the session will count as a bounce.
