If you don't use a budget bid strategy, then you have to manage campaign performance manually.
When you're finalizing a plan (when you're on the "Set up plan" page), you can choose the Manage campaign performance manually option.
With this option, Search Ads 360 makes suggestions for managing your plan based on your current configuration. Search Ads 360 suggests settings for the campaigns, ad groups, product groups, and keywords included in your plan.
You can download Search Ads 360's suggested plan (as an Excel spreadsheet) and review the details.
After reviewing the plan, you can:
- Accept the suggested plan as is.
- Make modifications to the plan (modify the spreadsheet you downloaded) and then upload the spreadsheet with your modifications.
- Reject the suggested plan and keep your current configurations for your campaigns, ad groups, and keywords.
Download the suggested plan, optionally upload modifications
- Under "Download and review Search Ads 360 suggested plan", click the pencil icon, then click Excel (.xlxs) to download the spreadsheet.
After you download the plan, you can leave it as is or make modifications. - Click Continue.
- Select one of the following plan options:
- Accept suggested plan
- Upload modified plan
- Reject suggested plan
If you selected Upload modified plan, click the pencil icon next to "Upload your file", select the spreadsheet you modified from your computer, and upload it. - Click Set up plan.
- If you choose Reject suggested plan, you're finished.
If you choose Accept suggested plan or Upload modified plan, then you'll see the link "Go to bulk actions". Click that link to open the interface for handling bulksheets. If your plan is active, the changes in the spreadsheet are applied right away. If your plan has a date range in the future, then the changes will be applied on the start date of the plan.
Review the suggested plan
When you download the spreadsheet, it is named "Implementation Report for <campaign name>" and usually found in your Downloads folder.
Open the spreadsheet in your choice of editor and review Search Ads 360's suggestions.
If you either accept or reject the suggested plan, choose the relevant option in Step 3 above and continue setting up your plan.
Modify the suggested plan
If you decide to modify the plan, you can make changes to things like:
- The Target CPA, Target ROAS, and Budget for each campaign
- The Target CPA, Target ROAS, and Default Max CPC for each ad group
- The Default Max CPC for each keyword
When you've finished modifying the plan, you can upload it using the instructions above and continue setting up your plan.
