Pause, resume, or remove a Microsoft Advertising remarketing target

Change the status of a campaign remarketing target

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
  2. Navigate to a Microsoft Advertising client account.
  3. On the page menu, click Audience.
  4. In the remarketing target's row, next to the check box, hover on the green dot icon, and then click the arrow ▼ to display the following options:
    • Enable: Use to reactivate the remarketing target.
    • Pause: Use to temporarily stop targeting remarketing list members.
    • Remove: Removes the remarketing target from the campaign.
  5. Alternately, you can click Remove above the reporting table to remove a remarketing target. Campaign remarketing targets can only be removed one at a time. You can't reactivate a remarketing target after you remove it. You can only reapply the remarketing list.

Change the status of an ad group remarketing target

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
  2. Navigate to a Microsoft Advertising client account.
  3. In the page menu, click Audiences.
  4. In the table toolbar, make sure the table is set to Ad group view.
  5. Select the check box next to one or more ad group remarketing targets.
  6. In the table toolbar click Edit ▼, and then click Pause, Enable, or Remove. You can't reactivate a remarketing target after you remove it. You can only reapply the remarketing list.

Remove a negative remarketing targets

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
  2. Navigate to a Microsoft Advertising client account.
  3. On the page menu, click Audience.
  4. Click the Excluded tab.
  5. To permanently remove remarketing targets that exclude members, under Campaign level or Ad Group level, click the check box next to remarketing target, and then click Remove.
