Shopping campaigns generate shopping ads from data in an inventory feed, streamlining how you manage and bid on your products, report on the performance, and find opportunities to grow your traffic. When people search online for products, shopping ads make it easy to browse a wide selection and find high-quality imagery and relevant product information like brand and price.

Both Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising support shopping campaigns, and campaign management and reporting are the same for both Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising in Search Ads 360.

Setup: Inventory feeds

While campaign management and reporting are the same for both Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, there are different requirements for setting up inventory feeds.

Microsoft Shopping Campaigns

To create a Microsoft Shopping Campaign in the new Search Ads 360, you will need to set up twleo identical or near-identical inventory feeds to provide consistent inventory data both to your Microsoft Merchant Center stores and your Google Merchant Center accounts. Learn more about Google Merchant Center.

  • Inventory data from the Microsoft Merchant Center is used to serve shopping ads from Merchant Center stores.
  • Inventory data from the Google Merchant Center is used for reporting on Microsoft Shopping campaigns.
