Google Ads sitelink asset settings

 This article applies only to Google Ads accounts in the new Search Ads 360.

Adjust your sitelink asset settings. Note that you create up to four sitelinks in one sitelink asset.

Setting Description
Sitelink text The display text that your sitelink asset is comprised of. Limited to 25 characters.
Description Additional descriptive information about a sitelink that is displayed in an ad.  Your sitelink may be eligible to show with these details. 

If you enter text in the Description 1 field, you are required to enter text in the Description 2 field also.

Final URL The URL address of the page in your website that people reach when they click your sitelink asset. This URL should contain any URL parameters your site uses to determine the content of a page or for tracking purposes.

Sitelink URL options

A Tracking template contain URLs that send measurement data to one or more tracking services when someone clicks your ad. You can add tracking templates at different levels in your account. The templates at lower levels override templates from higher up.

If a tracking template already contains the Search Ads 360 tracking URL, completely remove the Search Ads 360 URL before adding another URL. After you save your changes, Search Ads 360 reformats the template so its tracking URL comes first and the additional URL comes next.

A Final URL suffix will be added to the end of your final URL (e.g., param1=value1&param2=value2).

A Custom parameter is a kind of URL parameter that you can define. They can be used in your final URL and tracking template.

Select the Use a different final URL for mobile checkbox and enter a URL if you want people on mobile devices to reach a different URL after clicking your sitelink asset.

Advanced options

Device preference: Select the Mobile checkbox to indicate this sitelink asset should only appear on mobile devices. If a campaign or ad group contains only assets that are set to prefer mobile devices, the asset may also appear on desktop and laptop computers and tablets.

Asset scheduling: Under Start date and End date, enter a date range when your sitelink asset can appear in ads. You can also specify which days of the week, or hours of the day, when your sitelink asset can appear.
