Google Ads ad group settings

This article applies only to Google Ads accounts in the new Search Ads 360.

Adjust your ad group settings to help you tailor your ad group. The settings you select will apply to all ads within the same ad group. Learn how to create an ad group.

Setting Description
Ad group type The type of ad group you select determines the type of ads you can show. With "Product Shopping," you can use your product data to show individual ads for each product. With "Showcase Shopping," you can show multiple products within a single ad, and a product or lifestyle image that represents your brand or business.
Ad group name This is where you enter a name for your ad group. Choose a name that clearly describes the theme of the ad group so that you can easily find it in your account. Your ad group name isn't visible to your customers.
Bid

The maximum cost-per-click (max. CPC) bid for the "All products" product group in this ad group. You can subdivide "All products" and set specific bids for each of the additional product groups you create.
