Engine bid strategy type column

Google Ads portfolio bid strategy

Displays the type of Google Ads portfolio bid strategy, such as Target CPA, Target Search Page Location, and so on, if a Google Ads portfolio bid strategy is applied to the campaign.

If the Google Ads bid strategy is set to manual bidding, the column displays "Manual CPC". The column will also display "Manual CPC" if the Search Ads 360 bid strategy has auction-time bidding enabled and the campaign is in learning mode.

This column will contain dashes (---) until you create at least one portfolio bid strategy in Google Ads and sync the change into Search Ads 360. On the "Ad groups" tab, the column will also display dashes (---) if the Google Ads bid strategy is inherited.

Add this column to a report
  1. Navigate to a Google Ads engine account.
  2. Click the Campaigns, Ad groups or Keywords tab.
  3. If the column isn't already in the reporting table:

    1. Click the Columns button above the performance summary graph.

    2. In the Search for columns box, type the column name.

    3. Click + to add the column to the Selected columns list.

    4. Optional. Drag the column where you want it in the list.

    5. Click Apply.
