Create and manage Google Ads proximity targets in Search Ads 360

Create proximity targets

  1. Navigate to a Google Ads campaign.
Steps for navigating to a campaign
    1. In the left navigation panel, click All accounts.
What if the left navigation pane isn't visible?

    2. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    3. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    4. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser that contains the engine account.

    5. In the "Account" list, click on the engine account that contains the campaign.
    6. In the "Campaign" list, click on the campaign.

    7. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

Search Ads 360 displays the campaign page.

  2. Click the Targets ▼ tab and select Location targets.
  3. Click the New▼ button and select Proximity target.
  4. Enter a location:
    1. In Proximity target, enter a street address, the name of a place, or latitude and longitude, just as you would search for a place in Google maps.

      For example:
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA
      or
      Googleplex
      or
      37.42, -122.09

    2. Just below the Proximity target field, Search Ads 360 displays nearby addresses that match your entry. To confirm that you've entered the correct address for your location, click the View in map link that appears below the Proximity target field.
  5. Enter a name for the location. The name appears in Search Ads 360 reporting tables to help you identify the location.
  6. Enter a radius for adjust bids when customers are near the location.
  7. Enter a bid adjustment.
You can enter an adjustment from -90 to 900. A negative adjustment decreases the bid. A value of 0 makes no adjustment to the default bid.
  8. Click Save.

The bid adjustment takes effect immediately.

After you create a proximity target, you can adjust its bid, but you can't make other changes. To change the address of a proximity target, you'll need to remove the target and create a new one.
