Edit a budget plan

Budget management
  • You can't select a different conversion goal in a plan. Instead, you can remove the plan, and then create a new budget plan for the same time range.
  • You can change the target spend along with current and future allocations in a budget plan. That is, you can't change allocations for past days or weeks.
  • You can change the time frame for the plan as long as it starts before the budget group was created, and ends on or after today. Budget plans can't overlap.
  • You can't move or copy a plan to a different budget group.
  • Budget bid strategies can't be removed. However, you can pause a budget bid strategy by editing the budget plan.

Learn more about budget plans.

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.
Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

Search Ads 360 displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. In the left navigation panel, click Budget management.
  3. Click the Budget plans tab.
  4. Select the checkboxes of the budget plans that you want to edit. You can also filter the list to find the budget plans that you want to edit.

If you only select one plan to edit, you can edit additional plans once you're in the budget plan editor. You do this by clicking the "Budget group" selector and choosing one or more budget groups. The selector only shows groups that have a plan that's compatible with the one you're currently editing.
To view or edit multiple plans at once, the budget plans must be compatible. That is, the budget plans must have the same time range, same recurrence setting, same goal, and same budget group currency.
  5. In the toolbar above the reporting table, click the Edit menu, and then click Edit details.
  6. Do either of the following to edit the plan.
    • In the left navigation of the budget plan editor, click the step that you want to edit.
    • Click Continue to reach the option that you want to change.
Before you save the plan, you can discard any changes that you've made.
Click Restore all settings or click Cancel.
  7. When you're done making changes, click Save.
