Skillshop account information
Assessments, awards, and certifications
Q: How can I move or merge my completed awards and certifications from one Skillshop account to another?
A: To move your data from one Skillshop account to another, you'll need to recover your previous Skillshop profile associated with your learning history into your main Skillshop profile. To do so go to your avatar, select Edit Profile and under “Have an existing account? Recover your data”, select Recover your data and follow the prompts. (Learn more about merging your accounts).
Q: Where can I find my completed awards and certifications?
A: You should receive an email whenever you’ve earned a new award and certificate. If you didn’t receive or can’t find the email, click your avatar on the upper right and go to My Profile to view your completed certificates and awards.
Q: How do I share my certification with others?
A: You can share your certificate from My Profile by selecting your certification under Awards and selecting Print or copy and share the URL on the page that appears. (Learn more about printing certifications).
Q: What if I don’t want my award to be public?
A: In My Profile, there is a public profile toggle which allows you to adjust your account information’s visibility. (Learn more about account setup).
Q: How long is a certification valid?
A: All Skillshop certifications are valid for one year from the date issued, unless stated in the certificate. To maintain your certification status, you’ll have to take a recertification. You’ll be notified in advance when your certification will expire so you can prepare to recertify if you wish to do so. When a Skillshop certification expires, associated awards will also be flagged as expired.
Q: Can I retake the same exam if I’m already certified?
A: You may not attempt the same exam while you’re currently certified unless you’re within the recertification eligibility period. This period starts 30 days prior to your certification expiration date. If you attempt to recertify before the recertification eligibility period, one or more of the following may happen:
- Your exam result will be rejected.
- You may not receive a new certificate or badge.
- You may be prohibited from taking the exam and/or any other Google exam.
- Google, in its sole discretion, may terminate any applicable business relationship with you.
