Learn about the refurbished device process

Replacement devices may be new or refurbished based on location and inventory. Every refurbished device goes through a careful inspection and refurbishment process. We test extensively and replace the battery, cover glass and back case with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts so that the device will look and operate like new.

Tip: To check the status of your advanced exchange, go to your repair and replacement history.

About advanced exchange
  • You receive a link where you can order your replacement.
  • Once you place your order, an authorisation hold is placed on your account. Your replacement is sent within two to seven working days.
  • You receive delivery labels to send your original device back within 21 days.
  • Once the original device is received, the authorisation hold on your card is removed.
About standard exchange

Important: Devices must be sent back within 14 days of creating a standard exchange. If received outside of this period, your device may be sent back to you.

After the device is received, your replacement is sent within 3–5 working days. In some countries or regions, such as Australia, it takes around five to seven days to send a replacement.
