If your payment method gets declined, you'll get an email with instructions to update your payment method and you can change your payment info within seven days.
If you can't change your payment information
- Make sure that the billing address matches the one on your credit card: Learn how to change your home or billing address.
- Check that your payment info is correct: Learn how to edit, reorder or remove payment methods.
- Remove the payment method, then add it again: Remove the declined payment method and then add it again on payments.google.com.
- Try a new card: Try to change to a different card with the 'Fix payment method' button.
- If none of the above work, contact your bank for more information.
