Overview
The placement of tags in your website code impacts how quickly tags load and trigger. Placing tags too far down in the web page code can delay their triggering, potentially missing valuable session data from users who exit your site before the page fully loads. To ensure data is captured, make sure your tag is properly placed in your website code.

Tag Diagnostics shows the critical issue, "Tag not placed correctly," when you've installed the Google tag or the Google Tag Manager container too low on pages in your website code.
