Organize your tasks

You can change the order of your tasks, or move them to a different list.

Sort a task list by due date

  1. On your computer, select an option:
  2. At the top of a list, click List options .
  3. Under "Sort by," click Date.

Tips:

  • Under “Past,” tasks you haven’t completed by a specific date appear at the top.
  • All uncompleted tasks from the last 365 days are available on your current day.

Reorder your tasks

Important: To reorder your tasks, change your sort options to “My order.” At the top of a list, click List options and then My order.

  1. On your computer, select an option:
  2. Click and hold a task.
  3. Move the task where you want.

Tip: To reorder a task you're editing, on the left, click and hold Drag .

Move a task to a different list

  1. On your computer, open Tasks in Calendar.
  2. Click and hold a task.
  3. Drag and drop the task to a different list.

Tips:

  • You can’t move tasks set to repeat to a different list.
  • Next to a task, to select a list name, click Task options .

Reorder your task lists

  1. On your computer, select an option:
  2. Click and hold the list that you want to move.
  3. Drag and drop the list to another location.

Find or hide completed tasks

  1. On your computer, select an option:
  2. Select an option:
    • To find completed tasks, next to "Completed," click the Right arrow .
    • To hide completed tasks, click the Down arrow .

Tip: You can hide completed tasks that show in your calendar.
