There are 3 main alert categories in Google Maps:
- Critical
- Warning
- Informational
Each category appears differently. They're determined by the effect
field.
Categorize alerts
Please use caution when using the NO_SERVICE effect, as this will cause all trips specified in the alert entities to be canceled. See Cancel trips with Alert for more information.

Medical emergency messaging
Agencies can create messages for medical emergencies. Set the value of the cause field to MEDICAL_EMERGENCY
and the value of the effect field to OTHER_EFFECT
.
