From a web browser, you can make Google Voice calls faster and with one click on any web page with a phone number link.
Important: One-click dialing only works on computers.
You can use Google Voice to make calls from any of these browsers:
Turn on one-click dialing
- On your computer, register for the feature.
- When prompted, allow Google Voice to make calls on one of the browsers below:
- Google Chrome: Click Allow.
- Microsoft Edge: Click Allow.
- Mozilla Firefox: Click Add Application.
Tip: If your browser doesn’t prompt you to allow one-click dialing, check if one-click dialing is turned on.
Check if Google Voice can make calls
You can check if Google Voice has access to make calls from your browser.
Google Chrome
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
Settings.
- On the left, click Privacy and security.
- Click Site Settings
Settings.One-click dialing is on if voice.google.com displays under “Tel.”
Microsoft Edge
- On your computer, open Microsoft Edge.
- At the top right, click More
.
- On the left, click Cookies and Site Permissions.
- Scroll to and click Protocol handlers.
.One-click dialing is on if voice.google.com displays under “Handlers for tel links.”
Mozilla Firefox
- On your computer, open Mozilla Firefox.
- At the top right, click Menu
.
- Scroll to “Applications.”
- Next to “tel,” click Always ask.
