Receive calls to join a meeting

This feature is available with Voice for Google Workspace accounts managed by your work or school. Sign in to your Google Workspace account.

A meeting participant in Google Meet can invite you to join a meeting by calling your Google Voice number. When you answer the call, you're connected to the meeting.

For limits on joining a meeting by phone, go to Add guests to a video meeting by phone.

Meeting details that display for the call

The meeting details that display depend on the privacy settings of the Google Calendar event. If one of the following is true, the title of the meeting displays on your phone:

  • Your Google Voice number is in the same domain as the meeting
  • You've been explicitly added as a participant to the meeting

If the visibility of the meeting event is set to 'Private' in Calendar, the meeting title isn't shown.
