Transfer Suica or PASMO between devices

Important: Your existing Suica or PASMO card can only be on one device at a time, but can be moved anytime. If you transfer your card to a new device, it will be removed from the previous one.

You can transfer your existing mobile Suica and PASMO card to other devices with the Google Wallet app.

Before you start a transfer:

Transfer an existing Suica or PASMO card to your Phone

Google Wallet app
  1. On the phone you want to transfer your card to, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. At the bottom right, tap + Add to Wallet and then E- money and then Suica or PASMO.
  3. Sign in to your account.
  4. Tap Continue.
  5. Select the cards you want to transfer.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Accept the "Privacy & terms."
  8. On your old device, confirm the request to transfer the card to your new device.
    • If your old device is a smartphone: Tap Continue.
    • If your old device is a Watch (Suica only): Tap Done Done.
  9. After the card is removed from your old device, go to your new device, tap Next.
  10. If you’re transferring multiple cards, select your active transit card.
  11. Once the transfer is complete, you can now use Suica or PASMO on your new device.

Transfer a Suica card to your Watch

Google Wallet app
  1. On your Watch, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. Tap Next and then Suica and then Continue.
  3. On your watch, if prompted, follow the sign-in instructions.
  4. Tap Done Done.
  5. Select whether you want to transfer a card or create a new one.
    • To transfer an existing card:
      1. ​​​​​Tap Transfer from another device.
      2. Select the card that you want to transfer.
    • To create a new card: Tap New personalized card.
  6. Read the "Privacy & terms."
  7. Tap Accept.
  8. On your old device, confirm the request to transfer the card to your new device.
    • If your old device is a smartphone: Tap Continue.
    • If your old device is a Watch: Tap Done Done.
  9. After the card is removed from your old device, on your new device, tap Next.
  10. After the transfer is complete, tap Got it.

Troubleshooting

I tried to transfer my card between devices but didn’t receive a request to transfer the card on my previous device.

Make sure both devices are connected to the internet and try again. If you still don’t receive a notification on your old device:

  1. Go to the Google Wallet app .
  2. To manually initiate transfer, tap on card details and then Move to another device.
What should I do if I can’t access my old or previous device?
If you can’t access your old device, contact your card service provider support to re-issue the card on your new device.
After I tried to transfer a card, I can't find it.

Your card is saved to your account and it can be re-added to your device any time. To add it to your device:

  1. Go to the Google Wallet app .
  2. Tap + Add to Wallet and then E- money and then Suica or PASMO.

Tip: You can also check your card status on your device in the Osaifu-Keitai app.

I want to add a new card instead of transferring it. What can I do?
To add a new card, check your service provider’s app.
