Privacy for ID passes

To protect your privacy and security, Google uses your passport and a brief video of your face to verify it’s you and to create your ID pass. Google uses your passport info to confirm that the passport is valid and accurate, reviews the video to make sure you're a real person, and then compares the video to your passport photo to make sure you're the owner of the passport.

Once verified, we’ll use your passport info to create your ID pass. Your ID pass will be saved and encrypted in Google Wallet, where only you can view and share it.

You’re in control. You control when and how info from your ID pass is shared. You can also delete your ID pass anytime following the instructions listed above.

Any data handled by Google will be done in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy, including data used to meet our legal obligations, for analytics, to maintain and improve ID passes, and to prevent fraud and abuse.

Your use of an ID pass in Google Wallet is subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Wallet User Policy.
