Turn off Waze

Close Waze and prevent it from running in the background.

Using Waze in your car? Turn off Waze on your phone. Waze will then turn off in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Sleep mode

Waze will now be inactive. You can turn off Waze completely from outside the app.

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen
2. Swipe the Waze app window up towards the top of the screen until the app disappears
