You can use Google Calendar with your Wear OS watch to:
- Check your schedule and tasks
- Get notified of events and tasks
- Complete tasks
- Respond to events
- Delete events and tasks
You can find event and task details for Google Accounts added to your watch. You will receive notifications for events and tasks even when your watch is not connected to your phone.
When your watch and phone are connected, you receive a notification on your watch for any event or task added to Google Calendar on your phone.
Important:
- Internet connection on your watch is required to sync new data.
- Google Calendar is different from Agenda, which is a view-only calendar app and tile built into Wear OS.
- Google Calendar is replacing Agenda from Wear OS 4 onwards.
- Google Calendar on Wear OS doesn't support certain phone-based features such as:
- Work profile or managed Workspace accounts
- Non-Google accounts
- You can view events from multiple Google Accounts in Calendar when you add them to your watch.
- Google Calendar on Wear OS supports bridged notifications for phone-based events and tasks.

Check your daily schedule tasks
You can open your schedule and check tasks in Google Calendar through:
- Complications for checking events
- Tiles for events and tasks
- Calendar app on the watch
Important:
- A complication is any feature on a watch face that is displayed in addition to the time.
- A tile at a quick glance shows your next event or task.
- To add a complication, touch and hold your watch face to access the watch face editor.
- To add a tile, swipe right or left to access your tiles carousel, and then touch and hold your watch face to access the tile editor. You can also use the watch’s companion app on your phone.
Find your next event and get quick access to your schedule
- If your screen is dim, tap it to wake up the watch.
- Check your Calendar:
- With complications:
- Next event with a countdown.
- A calendar icon .
- Today’s date, day of week, day and date.
- With tiles: To find your next event, swipe right or left from your watch face.
- With the Calendar app: Press the crown or swipe up from the bottom of the screen, scroll to Calendar, tap on it.
- With notifications: Your watch notifies you of an event before it starts.
- With complications:
- Select an action that you want to take:
- View event details or the schedule view.
- View more on phone: Your watch will navigate to the details view on Google Calendar on the phone.
- Navigate to the event location.
- Respond to the event.
- Delete the event.
Check and manage tasks
- If your screen is dim, tap it to wake up the watch.
- Check your tasks:
- With tiles: To find your tasks, swipe right or left from your watch face.
- Upcoming tasks are listed in the order that they’re due. 'All day' tasks are considered to happen before any timed task.
- The tile will show two tasks at a time. To find more tasks in the Calendar app, tap More.
- With the Calendar app: To find tasks, press the crown or swipe up from the bottom of the screen, scroll to 'Calendar' and tap it to view today's and upcoming tasks.
- With notifications: You'll receive a notification for a task at the scheduled date and time.
- Important: If you have the Tasks app installed on your phone, you may receive two notifications on your watch for a task. To prevent this, turn off bridged notifications for tasks in the companion app on your phone.
- With tiles: To find your tasks, swipe right or left from your watch face.
- Select an action that you want to take:
- Open a task: Tap the task that you want to check, then select an action you want to take.
- Mark completed: Keep track of your progress by marking them complete.
- Open on the phone: Your watch opens the details view on Google Calendar on the phone.
- Delete task: Confirm before you delete your task.
Troubleshoot sync
Important:
- All actions, like changing the response status on a calendar event and receiving notifications, are supported even when your phone and watch aren't connected.
- You can check events and tasks on your watch for up to four weeks in the future. Events more than 30 days in the future aren't available on your watch, but can be found on Calendar in your web browser or in the Calendar mobile app.
- You don't need to use the Calendar sync settings in your watch's companion app because Google Calendar isn't affected by this setting.
Google Calendar on Wear OS shows calendars for accounts added to your watch. On the watch, calendars for these accounts are shown when they’re also visible on Google Calendar on your phone. To change visibility:
- On your Android device, open the Calendar app .
- On the top left, tap Menu .
- Select the calendars that you want shown on your watch.
