This feature is unavailable for AMPHTML ads.

Publish to Display & Video 360

If you have a Display & Video 360 account and the ad environment is set to Display & Video 360, Google Web Designer lets you publish your creative directly to Display & Video 360. Your creative is saved as a draft, and won't be trafficked until you explicitly publish it from your Display & Video 360 account.

If your document is a dynamic ad using the Brand Awareness schema, you have the option of saving your document as a custom format in the Format Gallery of your Display & Video 360 account.

Click the down arrow on the Publish button at the top of the window and select Display & Video 360.

Not signed in?

If you haven't signed in to your Google Account from Google Web Designer, a login page will open in your browser. Sign in with your Display & Video 360 account credentials.

You'll be asked to allow Google Web Designer to integrate with other Google products, including Display & Video 360. Click Allow to continue.

Publish dialog settings

  • Publish as: For dynamic ads only, select Draft creative or Custom format.

    Publishing as a custom format

This feature is currently in beta. Contact your Google Marketing Platform Support representative for more information.

  • Partner: Enter the name of the Display & Video 360 partner. If you only have "Read & Write," "Creative," or "Creative admin" access to a single partner, that partner is automatically selected.
  • Advertiser: Enter the name of the advertiser.
  • Creative: Enter the creative name or format name.
  • Select or deselect publishing options:
    • Inline local files - Places the JavaScript and CSS within the HTML file, rather than in external files.
    • Polite Loading - Delays the loading of assets until the hosting page finishes its initial load.
    • Add Border - Adds a one-pixel border, using the color you specify.
  • CSS Prefix: Select which CSS prefixes you want to include in the file. By default, all are selected to provide the widest range of browser compatibility.

Once the settings are complete, click Publish.

Associated creatives

Publishing a document to Display & Video 360 creates an association which allows Google Web Designer to remember your settings and reuse them whenever you publish to Display & Video 360. Once the association is in place (indicated by a lock icon in the Publish button menu), publishing a creative to Display & Video 360 saves a new draft of the same creative.

No association occurs for custom formats. Publishing a custom format multiple times generates a new format each time, although your partner and advertiser settings will be remembered.

To remove the association:

  1. Click the down arrow on the Publish button at the top of the window.
  2. In the pop-up menu, click the lock icon next to Display & Video 360, then confirm that you want to remove the association.

The next time you publish to Display & Video 360, you can publish the document as a new creative.

If you make changes to a creative within your Display & Video 360 account, the changes aren't automatically reflected in Google Web Designer. You should download the creative and open the authoring files in Web Designer if you want to work on the latest version of the creative.
