Use the Manual Claiming Tool

These features are only available to partners who use YouTube Studio Content Manager.
The Manual Claiming Tool is a feature available in Studio Content Manager. The tool provides a way to search public YouTube videos for content that you own the rights to. You can then create a claim on the matching content and apply a policy.

Keep in mind:

  • Manual claiming is only available to partners who have demonstrated a need for the feature and an advanced working knowledge of copyright and Content ID.
  • Users of the Manual Claiming Tool must follow the requirements for its use, as outlined in the Content ID manual claiming policy.
  • If content isn't eligible for Content ID, it should not be manually claimed. Improperly claiming content can result in penalties including legal liability and termination of partnership. Learn more.
