Home
When you open the YouTube iOS app, you’ll land on the Home tab. Once you start watching videos, the Home tab will show you recommended videos based on your preferences and activity on YouTube. Learn more about managing your recommendations.
As you explore YouTube, you can always tap Home to return to your Home tab.
Explore menu
The Explore menu shows Trending and destination pages. You can choose from the following categories: Trending, Shopping, Gaming, Music, Sports, News, Movies & Shows, Live, Fashion & Beauty, Podcasts, YouTube Premium, YouTube Studio, YouTube Kids, YouTube TV, YouTube Music, and Courses or Learning (categories displayed will vary by location).
Subscriptions
The Subscriptions tab shows you the newest videos from the channels you’re subscribed to. A list of your subscribed channels can also be found at the top of the page. Tapping the channel artwork will take you to that channel. Learn more about subscribing to channels.
Notifications
The Notifications tab is where you can find your messages and notifications. Learn more about managing your notifications.
Library
The Library tab is where you can find info like History, Your videos, Purchases, Watch Later, and Playlists. Learn more about managing your Library.
Cast
If you have a Chromecast, Smart TV, or a supported streaming device, you can connect your YouTube app to a Chromecast using the Cast button. Learn how to connect devices to watch YouTube on TV.
Create
Tap Create to record a video, start a live stream, or upload videos from your mobile device. Learn more about uploading videos and starting live streams.
Shorts
The Shorts tab is where you can find short-form video content across YouTube. Learn more about Shorts.
Search
The Search feature helps you find the videos you want to watch on YouTube. To start, tap Search , enter what you’re searching for, and then filter the results by videos, channels, or playlists. Your preferences and activity on YouTube will influence Search results. Learn more about managing your search results.
Profile picture & You tab
Tap your profile picture at the bottom right corner to visit your You tab. From there you can view everything you’ve watched, downloaded, or purchased on YouTube. You can also find account-related settings and channel info on this page.
