You may see ads in a few different places in YouTube TV, like when you're watching live TV, video on-demand, or YouTube videos. Learn more about ads on YouTube TV, including which ads you can or cannot fast forward.

Live TV
You can't fast forward through ads while watching live TV. If you pause a show, you can fast forward through ads until you catch up to the live version of the program.
DVR recordings
You can record a program by adding it to your library. This means that all airings—including upcoming airings and reruns—will be recorded automatically. You typically can fast forward through ads on recorded programs once they've aired on live TV.

Video on-demand
Many networks provide new episodes of shows, movies, and more on-demand. When you add a program to your library, certain episodes may be available to watch immediately even if the program has not recently aired live. Video on-demand ads have a yellow progress bar and a small "ad" icon in the corner. You typically cannot fast forward through these ads.
YouTube videos
If you're a YouTube Premium member, you won't see ads on any YouTube videos in YouTube TV. You will see ads on live TV and recorded content in your library. You may also see ads on on-demand TV programs.
Non-YouTube Premium members will see ads on YouTube videos, which allows us to support the creators of those videos. Any ad preferences you've created on YouTube will be reflected in YouTube TV.
Ad personalization
Google makes your ads more useful on Google services such as Search and YouTube (including portions of YouTube TV). You can control what info we use to show you ads by visiting your ad settings.
