Available only if you verified your domain
Your Google Workspace subscription includes the free Colab additional Google service. With Colab Pro and Colab Pro+, your organization’s users get additional compute units and enhanced functionality for collaboratively developing data science and machine learning models. As a Google Workspace administrator, you get additional controls. For example, you can assign licenses to the specific users who need the service.
Step 1: Add a Colab Pro or Colab Pro+ subscription
Before you begin:
- You can buy as many or as few licenses as you want. You don’t need to buy licenses for all your users.
- You must buy Colab Pro or Colab Pro+ the same way as you signed up for Google Workspace—directly online or through an offline sales or partner contact.
- If you buy your subscription directly online, you must choose the Annual/Fixed-Term Plan. To get a subscription on the Flexible Plan, contact a Google sales representative or Google Cloud partner.
- Compare Colab Pro and Colab Pro+.
To buy licenses directly online:
-
Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).
-
In the Admin console, go to Menu BillingGet more services.
- On the side, click More products.
- For Colab Pro or Colab Pro+, click Get Started.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add the service to your organization’s Google Account.
Step 2: Turn the Colab service on for users
If you already have the free Colab service turned on, your users automatically receive the additional compute units and enhanced functionality when you assign them a Colab Pro or Colab Pro+ license.
To turn on the service or change who receives the service, go to Turn Google Colab on or off for users.
Step 3: Assign Colab Pro or Colab Pro+ licenses to users
Before people in your organization can use Colab Pro or Colab Pro+, they need a license for the service. For details and steps, go to Assign Colab licenses to users.
