Manage your payments profile

Applies to editions of Google Workspace and other paid subscriptions in your Google Admin console.

When you sign up for your first Google service, we save the billing and contact information you enter to your payments profile. If you sign up for other services later, you can reuse your profile information so you don’t need to reenter it.

Payments profile reuse and deletion applies to all paid services managed in the Google Admin console except Google Voice.

What’s in my payments profile?

Each payments profile includes:

  • Who pays—The name and address of the person or company legally responsible for subscription costs
  • What you pay with—Stored payment methods used to pay for subscription costs
  • Tax information—The tax status, country, and ID associated with your billing account, when legally required
  • Contacts—The names and contact information for the people who are associated with the profile
  • Document language preference—The language you selected for your billing and payments documents (for certain countries only; if selection is unavailable, the default language will be the official language of the billing country)

Use or add a payments profile during signup

When you sign up for your first Google service, you’re prompted to create a payments profile. When you sign up for another paid service later, you can use your existing profile or create a new one. You can also add a new payment method to an existing profile.

If you don’t enter a payment method during signup, you can create or select a payments profile later when you set up billing. For details about Google Workspace billing setup, go to Set up Google Workspace billing.

Access & update your payments profile

You can access and update different types of profile information in your Admin console. For example, for each of your subscriptions, you can:

Changes you make in the Admin console are updated in the payments profile associated with this subscription.

Alternatively, you can access all of your payments profiles at payments.google.com. You can edit any of the information in any profile there. For details, go to Edit a payments profile.

Delete (close) your payments profile

Before you can close a payments profile, you need to cancel any Google Workspace or Google Workspace add-on subscriptions associated with this profile. You might also need to cancel subscriptions to other paid Google services, such as Google Ads or Android Developer. If you try to close a profile that has a subscription that needs to be canceled, you get an error message.

If you or another admin closes your payments profile, you can reopen it within 30 days. To reopen a profile, contact Google Payments Center support. After 30 days, you can’t reopen a payments profile or find past transaction or payment method information.

For steps on closing your payments profile, go to Permanently end your Google payments service.
