May 3 New consent requirements for traffic in Switzerland

From July 31, 2024, partners using Google advertising products will be required to obtain Swiss users’ consent to the use of cookies or other local storage where legally required, as well as the collection, sharing, and use of personal data for the personalization of ads. To comply with the updated EU User Consent Policy, partners using our publisher products will be required to use a certified CMP that integrates with the TCF when serving ads to users in Switzerland, in addition to the EEA and the UK.

February 1 Updates to your AdMob reports

To improve your experience using AdMob reports, we’re introducing a few changes.

Access new hourly data

You can now look at hourly data for any day in the last 28 days. To do so, specify 1 calendar day in the Date range filter within the last 28 days as the start and end dates (For example, select the start date as January 1, 2024 and the end date as January 1, 2024). Then, click Apply.

Download your User Activity report

You can now download CSV files for your User Activity report. This allows you to download the report as a .CSV file to use it outside of AdMob. To download a CSV of your User Activity report, open the report and click the More icon in the upper right corner. Then, click Download CSV

Customize your comparison periods

Previously, comparison periods were only available for the previous period or previous year. You can now set a custom date range to compare your data in the charts of your report.

To turn on a comparison period, click the Date range filter in your report. Then, turn on the Compare toggle and select a custom date range.

Clarify incompatible metrics and dimensions

Some metrics and dimensions can’t be used together. When you select an incompatible combination, the metric or dimension will not be clickable. Hover on the metric or dimension to understand what is causing the incompatibility.
