Google reviews provide useful information and help your business stand out. Reviews show up next to your Business Profile in Maps and Search.
Important: Reviews are only available in certain countries or regions, or to certain categories of businesses.
Use best practices to get reviews
You can ask people to write reviews about your business by giving them a link specific to your business. You can also encourage your customers to tell other people about your business by asking them to write reviews on Google.
Tip: Your customers don’t need a Gmail address to leave a review if they sign in to their Google Account.
- Verify your Business Profile: When you verify your business, people can find it on Maps, Search, and other Google services. To answer a review, you need to have a verified business.
- Remind customers to leave reviews: Tell your customers that it's easy and quick to write a review. Don't give them anything to try to get them to write a review. You can also get people to write reviews by giving them a special link. How to create and share a link.
- Answer reviews to show you care: Your customers will know that you care about what they think if you read their reviews and answer them if you read and reply to their reviews.
- All reviews matter: Reviews are helpful to other people when they are honest and fair. People trust businesses that have both good and bad reviews. You can always answer a review to show people that you care and explain more. If the review doesn't follow our posting guidelines, you can request its removal.
Share a link to leave a review
You can create and share a link for customers to leave reviews. To get customers to use the link:
- Include it in thank you emails.
- Add it at the end of a chat interaction.
- Include it on your receipts.

- Go to your Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
- To find your review link, click Read Reviews Get more reviews.
- Share the link with your customers directly or use the above options to share.
