There are three ways to add rich media creatives to your campaign:
- If your advertiser is associated with a Studio advertiser, Studio users can push rich media creatives to your advertiser, then you can add them to your campaigns.
- If rich media creatives are enabled for your account, you can directly upload rich media banner and in-banner video creatives.
- If you built your creative in Google Web Designer, you can publish the creative to Campaign Manager 360 directly from Web Designer.

Rich media asset guidelines
Rich media assets must be compressed in a .zip or .adz file with a maximum of 100 files inside.
What to include in the .zip or .adz file
What to include
HTML file: The primary asset of your rich media creative is the HTML file.
-
Must be a complete HTML document and be able to load into an iframe. Campaign Manager 360 serves the iframe along with your assets.
-
Must have the Studio Enabler and at least 1 exit.
-
If it doesn't include video, it must have least 1 counter or timer.
Other files: Include other files (for example images, videos, CSS, JavaScript) that are referenced by the HTML file.
What not to include
No click tags: Don't use click tags in your files. Rich media creatives use the Studio Enabler to create exit events.
No .zips within .zips: Don't include any .zip or .adz files within your .zip or .adz file. However, if you have .zip files for several creatives, you can zip these files together and batch upload them to Campaign Manager 360.
Videos can't be in folders: If there are videos in your rich media creative, do not put them inside a folder or sub-folder.
No unreferenced files: Only include files if they referenced by the HTML file.
No local or session storage: Campaign Manager 360 does not accept HTML5 assets that use local storage or session storage.
No % in the name: Don't use a percent symbol (%) in the names of any of the files in your asset.
No backup assets: Don't add backup assets in your .zip file unless they are referenced by the HTML file.
-
The trafficker must upload optional backup images separately to Campaign Manager 360. This image is used if Campaign Manager 360 cannot use your primary assets because they are not supported. Do not include this backup image with your .zip file.
-
However, some HTML files may be coded to use their own backup assets when a browser can't handle all the features. In this case, you'll need to include a backup image in your .zip in addition to the file the trafficker must upload separately.
Supported file types and limits inside the .zip or .adz file
-
Supported file types: HTML, HTM, JS, CSS, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, JSON, XML, SVG, EOT, OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2, AVI, MOV, M4V, MP1, MP4, OGG, WMV
