Share the same networks across devices

To set up Wi-Fi network syncing between Chromebooks:

  • Sign in using the same primary account on each device. Your primary account is the one you sign into from the login screen.
  • Connect to a consumer or household network. You cannot sync networks that use enterprise security with EAP.
  • Connect to a secure, password protected Wi-Fi network. If you did not add the network on your primary account, you’ll need to forget and then rejoin the network. Wi-Fi networks without passwords are not synced.

Important: If you're using a Chromebook at work or at school, your administrator might choose to turn off sync. If so, you won't be able to sync your information.

Sync your Wi-Fi networks across Chromebook devices

  4. Under "Privacy and security," select Sync and Google services.

  6. Choose an option. You’ll need to follow these instructions on all Chromebooks you’d like to share networks between.
    • Sync everything: Your Wi-Fi networks and other settings will be synced across devices.
    • Customize sync: If you’ve selected this option, go to “Sync data” and turn on Wi-Fi networks.
