Grade & track interactive questions for YouTube videos

This article is for teachers.

Important: Teachers must manually enter scores from interactive questions for YouTube into their Classroom gradebook.

Check class insights

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class.
  3. At the top, click Classwork and then the assignment.
  4. Click Review work and then Class insights. An insights dashboard displays.
  5. To get a top-level idea on class activity, click Insights.
  6. On the left, check your students’ responses to your questions. Below each question, you can find marks:
    • Gray circle with a gray dot: The question is ungraded.
    • Dark green check mark: The question was answered correctly.
    • Light green check mark: The question was answered correctly after multiple attempts.
    • Red X mark: The question was answered incorrectly.
  7. When you:
    • Click a student’s name: The student’s responses display.
    • Click a question number: All your students’ responses for that question display.

Review student work

  1. On your computer, go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class.
  3. At the top, click Classwork and then the assignment.
  4. Click Review work.
  5. In the "All students" dropdown menu, click the name of the student you want to review.
    • To switch between students who received the assignment, click the Arrows  .
  6. Optional: To review an individual question from a student:
    1. Click the question.
    2. Select from dropdown menu:
      • Ungraded: The question is unanswered and ungraded.
      • Correct: The question was answered correctly.
      • Incorrect: The question was answered incorrectly.
  7. Optional: To add a grade, under “Grade,” enter a numeric value.
  8. Optional: To send a private comment to the student about the assignment: 
    • Under "Private comments," enter your comment.
    • Click Post.
