Change your profile in Classroom

You can change your profile photo or password in Classroom. If you want to change your profile name that’s used in all Google services, contact your Google Workspace administrator.

Change your profile name

To change your first and last name that’s used in all Google services, contact your Google Workspace administrator. Learn who your administrator is.

After you change your profile name, the new name shows up in your:

• Messages
• Shared documents
• Calendar invitations
• School's searchable directory

Your email address and the name you use to sign in to your account doesn't change.

Change your profile picture

You can display a profile picture next to your name in Classroom. If you teach in a school, your profile picture in Google Workspace for Education is also your Classroom profile picture.

After you add a profile picture, you can’t remove it, but you can replace it with a different photo. Your photo can be a .jpg, .jpeg, or .png file up to 5 MB. Photos of any dimension scale automatically.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, tap Classroom .
2. At the top left, tap Menu Settings.
3. Tap Account settings Profile picture.
4. To add or change a profile picture, follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Tip: To crop your photo:
     1. Resize the box.
     2. Tap Next.
5. Tap Save as profile picture.
