How do I track my running goals and records?

Track your weekly running progress towards your goals and gain insights from advanced metrics.

Important: If you don’t have a Fitbit account, go to the Google Play Store on your phone and download the Fitbit app. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account and connect your account to your watch. If prompted, follow the instructions to move Fitbit to your Google Account. Pixel Watch 3 users must move Fitbit to a Google Account to proceed. For more information on setting up your watch and connecting your watch to an existing Fitbit account, refer to How do I set up my Fitbit device?.

Check your running progress and trends

Important: Run dashboard is available on Google Pixel Watch 3 only.

From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the Running distance tile. Here, you can:

View your running performance metrics

Use the filters above the graph to check your run performance over different periods of time. Your weekly progress toward your running goal appears in the Week view.
Tip: You can refer to the graph to check your trends (distance, duration, pace, or form metrics) over a period of time.

Track your personal records

Tap Personal records to view your best running distances and speeds. Your Pixel Watch 3 will reward your hard work by celebrating when you break your personal records for running segments like your longest run, fastest mile, fastest 5K, and even your fastest marathon.
Note: Your Pixel Watch 3 will start tracking personal records when you wear it and begin a workout. Any past runs you recorded with other devices won't be included in your personal records.

  • Cardio load
  • General stats, such as elapsed time, distance run, pace, heart rate, calories burned, steps taken, and elevation change
