Get notifications and fix common issues

Notifications on Fitbit Ace LTE

Your child receives notifications on their Fitbit Ace LTE. A white dot on the home screen below the time indicates that a new notification is available. To check the notification tray, swipe up from the home screen.

 

Notifications include:

  • Missed calls
  • New messages
  • Watch system updates
  • Ace Band notifications
  • Family Link notifications

Silence notifications on Fitbit Ace LTE

You can silence your watch with Do Not Disturb. This mode can mute sound, stop vibration, and block visual disturbances.

  • From the top of the watch screen, swipe down.

  • Tap Do Not Disturb .

As a parent, you can also schedule Fitbit Ace LTE to enter School time. Notifications are automatically silenced during School time. Learn how to Manage School Time on Fitbit Ace LTE.

Unable to receive notifications on Fitbit Ace LTE

  • Confirm that your child’s watch is not in School time . When School time is enabled, it silences notifications to minimize distractions, and your child won’t get a notification sound or a full screen notification. Notifications are still available in the notification tray.
  • Ensure that Do not Disturb is not enabled on your child’s watch. To find this setting, swipe down from the home screen.

Other notifications in the Fitbit Ace app

Within the Fitbit Ace app, you may receive notification cards that inform you of actions that need to take place either within the app or on your child’s Fitbit Ace LTE. These include the status of your Ace Pass, device protection eligibility, and any permissions that may not be set correctly.

Unable to receive notifications on your phone

Notifications are sent to your phone for incoming calls, missed calls, or messages from your child’s Fitbit Ace LTE.

If you're not getting these notifications, ensure that you’ve turned on app notifications for Fitbit Ace on your phone.

When you open your Fitbit Ace app and find a dot above Call or Message, it indicates a new notification for that type.

Display your phone notifications on your Fitbit Ace LTE

If you set up the watch for yourself, you can allow your Fitbit Ace LTE to show notifications from your phone. 

You need to allow notification permission in the Fitbit Ace app on your phone and allow system permission.

On an Android phone:

  1. Open your Settings app.
  2. Tap Notifications  Device and App notifications.
  3. Ensure Fitbit Ace is in the list of Allowed apps for notification access.

On an iPhone:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app .
  2. Tap on Bluetooth.
  3. Tap on the  icon next to “Fitbit Ace LTE.”
  4. Ensure Share System Notifications is enabled.
Note: Notifications from your phone will only show on your watch when they are connected over Bluetooth. This feature is not available if your device was set up for a child.
