Restart or factory reset your Charging Speaker Dock

If you have problems with your Charging Speaker Dock, you can restart it. You can also reset the dock to its original factory settings. If you don't plan to use your charging dock, you can unplug it from the wall socket.

Important: When your Charging Speaker Dock is unplugged, you won't be able to charge your tablet or play music through the dock's speaker.

How to restart your Charging Speaker Dock

To restart your dock:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your dock.
  2. Leave the dock unplugged for one minute.
  3. Plug the power cord back into the dock

How to turn off your Charging Speaker Dock

To turn off your dock, unplug the power cord from its power source.

How to factory reset your Charging Speaker Dock

If you restarted your Charging Speaker Dock and still experience issues, you can restore it to its original settings with a factory reset. After a factory reset on your dock, the data on your Pixel Tablet won't be affected.

Important: To dock your Pixel Tablet or use Hub Mode, you need a Charging Speaker Dock. You can purchase the Pixel Tablet with or without a dock, or purchase a dock separately.

To reset your dock:

  1. Remove your dock from the Google Home app.
  2. Make sure your dock is plugged into a wall outlet.
  3. Remove your tablet from the dock.
  4. Find the small, circular indentation on the bottom of the dock, close to the power port.
  5. Press and hold down the button until you hear four musical tones and a final tone.

Note: After you reset your dock, wait until the chime plays to re-attach your tablet to the dock. After you dock your tablet, you'll need to set it up with Google Home again.
